Phase II of Data Collection is Now Launched in Masharqa

The second phase of data collection in 'Masharqa' (one of EMPOWERS Egypt communities) has recently started by collecting more information as to help prioritizing problems in this village and empower its community for selecting a second pilot project that meets urgent needs there.

Already, community leaders worked for three consecutive sessions on validating both a problem tree and the social map, while representatives from various groups (mainly farmers and women) were selected to participate in verifying the already identified problems and identifying new ones.

Following this second phase of data collection, the local community leaders will review the vision, scenarios and strategies of the planning cycle. After the revision in early July, representatives of all groups will work together on selecting and designing the second pilot project.
