Another INWRDAM and EMPOWERS regional training workshop was conducted in Amman on "Pro-poor Participatory Planning of Community Water Services". The workshop was attended by 20 government staff from 9 OIC countries.

Masqat, Oman. 3-8 June, 2006.
In coordination with INWRDAM and INWRDAM's Focal Point in Oman, EMPOWERS Partnership conducted a 5-day training workshop for 25 staff members from the Omani Ministry of Regional Municipalities, Environment and Water Resources. The Omani Government was the main sponsor of the workshop in addition to IRC and INWRDAM.
The training was based on EMPOWERS approaches to local IWRM and participatory water planning, and was facilitated by a team from IRC (Patrick Moriarty), and 3 EMPOWERS Field Coordinators (Sayel Wishahi-PHG, Palestine; Mufleh Abbadi- MoA Jordan; Galal Mohamed – CARE, Egypt)

A regional training workshop on Participatory Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) was held in Beirut in mid February 2005. The workshop was organized by the Inter-Islamic Network on Water Resources Development and Management (INWRDAM) based in Amman, Jordan, and in cooperation with the EMPOWERS Partnership.
